For more than five decades, Quantro Tone has been a cornerstone of Nottingham’s sound system culture.
Founded in 1974, the sound system began as a group of friends with a passion for reggae, dub and community. What started as a local hobby grew into one of Nottingham’s most respected and longest-serving sound systems, performing across the UK and helping to shape generations of music lovers.
Quantro Tone has played an important role in preserving Caribbean music culture within Nottingham and has longstanding connections to Forest Recreation Ground, Nottingham Carnival and the wider cultural life of the city.
In recognition of their contribution to sound system culture, Quantro Tone recently celebrated fifty years of continuous service to music and community, receiving national recognition for their achievements and dedication.
